Eugene area friends of Tim B:

Help me celebrate my 70th birthday!

Monday, September 2, 2019 (Labor Day)

4pm - 7pm (or come around 3:30 to park closer and visit before the music)

Emerald Park (River Road Parks and Rec Deistrict) - 1400 Lake Drive, Eugene (between River Rd. and NW Expressway - a nice bike ride!)

(scroll down to "Summer Concerts")

The Sugar Beets will be playing their traditional and very popular Labor Day show so let's join in and dance!

We will claim a table at the picnic shelter (way) across from the stage but mostly we will be dancing down front. Bring a lawn chair if you want and a water bottle. There is food for sale and Wildraft Cider will be doing tastings at a nearby table at the shelter. No presents, of course...just bring yourself and...wear purple if you feel like it (;-)

Why a parkbench for my 70th? Remember Simon and Garfunkle's BOOKENDS album?

From "Old Friends":

"Old friends, sat on their parkbench like bookends...How terribly strange to be seventy..."

Well, it's NOT strange to be 70...it feels fine and yes, we may sit on a parkbench at Emerald Park but it will be between songs, dancing to THE SUGAR BEETS!
